From press-molded pieces to carved works showcasing spectacular surface treatments, these magnificent tiles will inspire beginners and professionals, as well as collectors and enthusiasts. As always in the 500 series, all the contributions are stellar, and include Mary Lynn Buss's field of mosaic-tiled irises and Melody Ellis's earthenware narrative stories.
Angelica Pozo received her MFA from the University of Michigan, and now divides her time between her widely exhibited sculptural studio work, major public art commissions, and artist residencies involving large ceramic tile/mosaic projects. She has been awarded an OAC Individual Artist Fellowship, as well as an Arts Midwest/NEA Regional Individual Artist Fellowship. Angelica is the author of Making & Installing Handmade Tiles (Lark, 2005).
